These are the last images I saw of his finger. As you can see, it had healed pretty incredibly considering it came from this. Ah, the wonders of the human body. Anyways, I'm sure he's getting his share of spider bites in whatever form of afterlife he is occupying, R.I.P. Pops! The healing:

i can't believe they didn't have to amputate it! amazing! hey you should put links to each part (part 1-6) on each relevant spider-bite blog post. i started from post 1 and had to look around for part 2 and so on. anyways, thanks for posting, this was interesting and disgusting. i'm off to go watch videos of bot flies now. pace!!

It is definitely morbid curiosity...but I had a spider bite of my own (just small & normal) and I was looking up stuff and happened upon your page. Your dad's finger (may he rest in peace) was GROSS yet interesting at the same time. I had to go to your archive to see all 6 posts and while I was here I read some of your other posts and wow! I'm a fan now. haha Keep being interesting!
